Jess never really spent time mourning her own screw ups. She preferred to push them down and out of her mind as best she could so she could live day to day without things weighing too heavily on her. Of course, that shit didn't always work and she sometimes defaulted to questionable methods of dealing with her issues but it was all a work in progress. Right?
