Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Who: Clark Kent + OPEN
What: A wild Kryptonian appears
Where: Various locales
When: June 9th
Warnings: Off-screen violence, will update as necessary

◼️ Train of Thought (closed to Tess)

[ It's raining. That fits, somehow, as a proper backdrop for this battle to protect Earth. It isn't even the first, but it might be the last, quite literally thanks to General Zod. Clark puts up one hell of a fight. He's not going down without saving his adopted home from the machinations of the man responsible for destroying his first one. Without his powers, though, it feels like each punch, each circling between them takes hours. Maybe that's because kryptonite is involved, a type that simply takes away his powers instead of his life. Maybe it's because this is so important. Zod is one hell of a fighter, but even the best can have bad days. Can make mistakes. His is hubris - allowing his own ego to get in the way. In the end, Zod loses, and Clark falls off a very high building with a glowing dagger buried in his gut.

Then finds himself somewhere else, slumped over in a seat. One tiny part of his brain is already cataloging the sounds, searching for the right descriptors. A train, slowing down as it approaches its destination. He's in too much pain to translate the words, but the welcome greeting is filed away for later. Acting on instinct, Clark staggers up into the aisle and out onto a platform he's never seen before. It doesn't matter at the moment because, as he's moving forward and looking around in confusion, the rest of his strength gives out. Clark Kent crumples to the ground not too far from the information booth: a tall, dark-haired man in equally dark, bloodied clothing. With a House of El sigil on the front. And a blue Kryptonian dagger impaled in his gut. ]

◼️ Roommate Musical Chairs (for Charlie)

[ Sometime after Clark gets the welcome spiel and some explanations, he decides it might be a good idea to check out his temporary accommodations. The complex isn't too hard to find. The front desk attendant seems nice, and the place itself doesn't seem all that decrepit once inside. And the apartment isn't hard to find at all, which is a little bit of a relief considering the other times he's found himself elsewhere. Even the key works.

He takes in the decor, walking around the living area and kitchen, checking some of the cupboards. The box with his name on it is a little worrying, of course. But he can deal with it a little later. Instead, ]

Hello? Anyone here?

◼️ Poking Around (Open)

[ It's always a good idea to scope out the area. After cleaning up and changing into clean jeans and a fresh t-shirt, Clark heads out to do a little investigation. Find out what the brochure didn't include. Neither the heat or dryness bother him - just one of the perks (?) that come with being a Kryptonian under a yellow— er, make that a blue and red sun. Two of them. Okay, he's definitely not in Kansas on Earth. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Or a good thing, it just is. But it makes for a great excuse to just meander around.

Clark will check out the Metroplex and maybe grab some coffee at Starkbucks, although the pun will be lost on him, and he might even hit up some of the local diners. Who knows what could be a familiar dish and what might be ... alien. Besides, he could use a bite to eat. There's also a high probability of running into Fluxscape's newest resident outside the town walls. It's a good idea to know what lurks just outside civilized spaces. Especially since he's been in other desert-like environments that were pretty damn hostile. ]

◼️ Wildcard/CYO Adventure

[ Have an idea for running into Clark? Throw it here. Mun is available through PM or pp [plurk.com profile] gloaming for questions/plotting. ]
