Gwen is used to Peter's word-vomit. It's what he does. And she's good about listening to it, because sometimes that's just what Peter needs; someone to listen while he gets everything he wants to say out.
But what he's saying has, for once, actually caused Gwen some confusion and concern. She watches him carefully while he's speaking, the words hitting her ears but not registering, and she almost interrupts him a couple times but he's just talking and talking and Gwen is becoming more and more confused.
"I left? When did that happen? I was just on the train like...an hour ago. And May left? And Mr...what?" She's so lost, Peter. So. Lost.
