What in Oblivion... [Open]

Who: Andromelus Delano and YOU!
What: Arriving
When: April 18th
Where: All over Driftcrest
Warnings: None yet!

a. Main Quest

To say Andromelus was confused would be the understatement of the century. To say he was surprised the first time he laid eyes upon a car would also be an understatement. Clutching the papers he was given from the information booth in gloved hands, he jumped back on the sidewalk until he was nearly plastered up against the side of a building. He was decked out from head to toe in leather armor in varying shades of brown, with more buckles and straps than one might expect. He even wore a leather hood with a mask covering the bottom half of his face, but you weren't imagining things. He did indeed have red eyes and grey-blue skin.

"What in Sithis's name is that?" he exclaimed, eyeing the car warily. The machine didn't seem to take any interest in him and there seemed to be...people inside of it, but that did nothing to soothe his nerves. He'd never seen any kind of creation like that before. Was it holding the people inside of it prisoner? Was it some sort of armor? Was it even sentient? He was afraid to get any closer, so he was just going to keep his distance and keep an eye on the unknown machine.

b. Side Quest

Pushing back his hood and pulling down his mask to reveal not only pointed ears but black hair styled in a side cut, Andromelus had stepped into a building labeled 'Starkbucks'. The barista at the counter who'd greeted him had already asked him if he wanted to try a new type of mocha latte, in between staring at him, and he was struggling to process the meaning of those words in this context.

"Is...is a normal coffee an option?" he asked hesitantly.

"Of course, sir," the barista replied, and then cheerily told him the price.

Dollars. What on Nirn were dollars? He remembered the envelope he'd been given and pulled it out of a pocket. Opening it, he peered into it, rifling through the strange papers. Were these...dollars? Looking up, he caught the eye of someone, anyone. Every ounce of his expression pleaded for help, though he didn't voice it out loud. He needed help. Desperately. Someone needed to explain to him what dollars were and how he could pay for his coffee.

c. Miscellanious Quest

After enjoying his coffee, the dark elf tucked himself away onto a bench, going through the rest of the things he'd been given. He was lucky that he could read but that didn't mean he understood the information he had in his possession. While he understood the basic principle of a pocket dimension, it was nothing like what he would have expected. Nothing here met his expectations and everything was otherworldly and confusing.

Picking up the strange device he'd been given (his phone), he turned it over in his hands, trying to figure out how it worked and what it was supposed to be for. There were a few buttons on it that he didn't understand, but otherwise, most of the surface was taken up by a strange sort of screen. Tilting the object this way and that, he poked at one of the buttons and startled when the screen lit up, quickly dropping it onto the stretch of bench next to him. He swore under his breath, waiting for a few long moments for the device to do anything else, but the screen merely went dark again.

Tentatively, he pressed the same button to make the screen light up once more, leaning over to peer down at it. "What are you?"
