School Daze (for the teens of driftcrest)
Who: Literally every school aged kid in town.
What: It's a damn school day.
When: April 20th
Where: Driftcrest High
Warnings:Teenagers Swearing, probably. Mentions of bullying in threads. Will add warnings if needed.
Welcome to Driftcrest High, where not only do kids get a traditional education, but there's an entire wing dedicated to the arts. To get there, head through the main doors and turn left. Down this wing is where the kids who are learning dance, music, and other many and varied arts go, so this hallway is always noisy. There's music, shouting, people carrying instruments. Feel free to poke around if you're curious as to what goes on in these classes. Peek in on a ballet class, stick around to listen to the surprisingly talented school band practice something, watch people in one of the painting classes work on masterpieces.
Or, if this isn't really your thing, you can turn right at the main doors and head towards a more traditional education. Science. Math. Reading. History. All of the stuff one might learn in a regular public school. There's emphasis on STEM classes, sure, but the teachers are very patient with people. Unless there's bullying. They'll have none of that, thank you very much.
If you're wondering if these two wings have a common area: yes. It's the large cafeteria and auditorium, right dead center of the two wings and just beyond the main offices and library. Everyone gathers here at lunch time, and the food isn't your common cafeteria food. The meals are filling and highly nutritious and pretty damn tasty, too, cooked by people who actually care about feeding teenagers properly. There's vending machines to get sodas and all, too.
So, what's your day at school look like? Are you a full time in-person student? Do you prefer to hybrid your days and only come into the building a couple days a week? What hallway do you spend the most time in when you're here? If you even come in at all.
This is a gathering-style post for the teenagers of Driftcrest. Come make some friends. Side eye teachers. Flirt in the hallways or watch what the arts wing is up to. Post a top-level and/or tag around. Make this a memorable school day, yeah?

Gwen Stacy - OTA
Gwen's school day on a Tuesday usually consists of sitting at home at the school-loaned iPad, studying virtually. She never set foot in the building except for Wednesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday. That was when her dance classes and music classes were, and she'd much rather be there in person for them.
She'd also much rather not be an ice statue for two weeks, but she was. And she missed a good enough amount of school that Gwen felt the need to physically be in the building.
Thankfully...or...well, not so much that...but it turns out a lot of the other kids in her dance classes were either ice statues or their families were, so there were a lot of people that missed lessons.
So, Gwen is in one of the classrooms in the arts wing, watching one of her instructors go over choreography they all missed. Gwen watches them carefully, mimicking their moves and steps, every kick and twist and spin and bend copied once or twice until it's time to put it together to music.
And after a bit, it's clear that Gwen really has been dancing for years. It takes her a moment or two to get the hang of the routine, but once she does, it's very obvious she's enjoying this. She's in one of her moments of zen and peace, and honestly she's pretty good with holding onto this for a bit.
Lunch:
Again, another space Gwen usually stayed out of, but today felt different. She felt like she had to be in the cafeteria, instead of finding some quiet classroom to hole up in.
So she's at one of the lunch tables, pretty happy with the baked ziti and Caesar salad she got, reading down the list of assignments she missed and pulling textbooks out of her school bag so she can get a start on make-up work. She's one of those rare students that actually enjoys being in school and while she might look busy? She's okay with people joining her at the table.
Wildcard: (ooc: find her anywhere. she might even be in your gym class or have a locker near yours.)
