He honestly can't believe it. Ever since he really got to know his BB unit, he knew, he knew who it was. That this was Lou, who he thought he'd lost so long ago. If asked, he couldn't tell you how he knew it was her. DOOMs, maybe. Or just fatherly instinct. Or a mix of both.

It doesn't matter now. What matters is that she's here, in his arms. And he is never letting her go.

Bruce still finds the notion of taking a baby on a delivery trip strange. Then again, it isn't the oddest thing he's heard of since his time being in this joined multiverse hell. If it wasn't for the concept of rain speeding upt he decay of whatever it touches? He'd almost think Sam's universe was normal compared to his own.

"I take it that her development is going to be normal? Unless it's normal for a baby in her situation to be removed from her... pod."

"It should be. She should start growing like a normal kid, soon enough. She's already gaining a little weight, now that she's eating real food. Well -- formula, but better than what the tube was giving her.

I uh -- " Sam swallows, staring at the art on the wall rather than at Bruce. "I was in one of those things. First few months of my life. Born two months too early. And I turned out okay, relatively speaking."
