Who: Peter and Loki
Where: The Apartment
When: June 24th
What: Powers are lost, that means Asthma and Glasses.
Peter had been asleep, curled into a twin sized bed with a book about Astro-physics open and pressed against his face. He’d fallen asleep well into the early hours of the morning. He’s violently yanked out of his mostly pleasant dreams when the first glitch hits. It almost feels like being hit by a truck and it has him sitting up quickly and trying to piece together what just happened. He squints around the room and picks up on the fact everything looks like blurry blobs.
“Wh-what the hell?” He asks, rubbing his eyes, feeling a terribly familiar feeling at his chest. “No, no. Nonono.” Rubbing his eyes did nothing and everything is still blurry. “Shit! No, this can’t happen.” He takes in a sharp breath and reaches blindly for the nightstand in hopes that his glasses will magically be there. They’re not.
He takes in another sharp breath, feeling his chest restrict the tiniest bit. “Oh god..” he breathes, still blindly searching. He needs to calm down. Panicking isn’t gonna help him find his glasses and what is he supposed to do until he gets new ones? Sit on the couch all day? And why does his head hurt?
Another sharp breath of air but it feels more like a gasp. It doesn’t feel like his lungs are inflated at all. Forget the glasses, where’s an Inhaler? He coughs and wheezes harshly as he moves to his suitcase and starts pulling everything out in desperate hope he still had his inhaler with him somewhere. The quick movements cost him though as now it really feels like he can’t breathe.

“I un.. I uh.. I kinda got uh bit. By a radioactive spider..“ his voice gets a lot softer at the end. “It-it was a whole ordeal and I mean technically I’m not allowed to talk about it because of legal reasons but Oscorp probably can’t sue my family here.”

"A...radioactive spider." He sounds disbelieving, which is also the most honest he's sounded in recent days, and eyebrow raised. "Given your current situation, I would sooner believe that would kill you."

"But it wasn't a normal spider-and it completely rewrote my DNA and now I'm-uh.. I'm basically part spider. Sorta. I'm still figuring it out."

"I've never known a spider to cure poor eyesight or a weak constitution." That wasn't to say he didn't believe the boy, of course.

He takes a breath and thinks back to those first few days of his powers and how confusing and aggravating everything was. "It also enhanced my senses which included my eyesight and, hearing-all of that. It also enhanced my metabolism, a lot. So I heal super fast and I think that's why I don't really have attacks anymore? Because while you can't "cure" asthma there are treatments for it and I think the healing factor keeps it in check. sorta. Like I said, I'm still figuring out and by my standards I've only had my powers for about a year."

"It's fascinating, certainly, but the occurrence also beggers questions: what was a radioactive spider doing there in the first place?"
no subject
...
"mainly that I've been using them to fight crime in Queens and kindasorta... becameasuperhero." he hurriedly finishes up.
"I um, I'm not convinced that Mr Osborne wasn't responsible for the radioactive spider. I mean the whole thing still seems really sketchy."

He arched an eyebrow at the boy's tale. It wasn't exactly surprising, learning the lad had used this newfound power to protect others. He knew who Loki was, most likely his brother, and the other Avengers. "Heros" indeed.
"And who is Mr. Osborne?"
no subject
"He uh-He owns Oscorp Industries wh-which is where I got bit by the spider-I don't know why the spider was radioactive but I don't.. think it was an accident."

He shook his head. Mortals really did get involved with things best left to their betters more often than not.
"And what's been done about this Oscorp Industries?"
