The door to the studio is open, and River is dancing by herself. Feeling the space, listening to whatever music is playing in her head. You're welcome to come say hello, or to sign up for lessons if you're so inclined. River doesn't mind being interrupted.

River pauses mid-pose, glancing over her shoulder to see who's come to visit her. She recognizes Malcolm's face from the Network and smiles a little, relaxing her position. Malcolm seems nice. A good conversational partner. She doesn't mind his company.

"I've been caught."

He smiles back at her. "I didn't want to interrupt," Malcolm replies, walking across the dance floor. "You seemed to be in your own world."

River's dancing was very free. Perhaps she was simply dancing like no one was watching - since nobody was before he came in. It was nice to watch someone move like they didn't have any cares or anxieties and just go where their body takes them.

"I always feel more real, when I dance. More like myself." She does a few quick relevés, just to amuse herself. Because she can. Because she's allowed to dance again.

"Are you looking for lessons?"

Dancing makes her happy. Malcolm can tell that much. Her words lead him to believe that she hasn't always been able to be this free and happy.

"Sure," he says with a shrug. "I actually took dance lessons for five years as a kid, so I'm not a novice." Malcolm enjoyed it, despite the fact that it added some fuel to the bullying fire he was already experiencing. A boy dancer whose father is a serial killer? Ripe for the picking.
