Fran had finally been placed with a guardian, about which she's ever so slightly unsure. She'd thought she'd been doing quite well on her own, thank you, but apparently her social worker thought it was for the best that she was with someone. So here she is, with her new suitcase filled with her most precious belongings and a few changes of clothes, standing in the foyer of Grimhilde Castle, taking it all in.

She holds Mister Midnight close to her chest as she waits for her new guardian, standing just inside the door. "Well, dear friend," she says to her cat, "It looks like you'll have a lot more places to play, here. Oh dear, I hope she likes cats..."

"He absolutely will," Evie states, overhearing part of what Fran says and giving her a grin. She stops long enough to give Mr Midnight a gentle pat or two, smiling at the cat.

"Cat's are fine. I just hope he gets along with my wolf." The wolf won't care one way or another if the cat is there.

"Come on in. There are a few rooms upstairs open, take your pick, and then we can talk about decorating it. I can make you curtains, we'll make the room exactly how you want it."

"Oh -- hello again." Fran smiles and sets Mister Midnight down so he can explore. The wolf might get a few curious paps on the muzzle but other than that, Mister Midnight will leave him alone.

"This is nicest place I've ever lived. Thank you for taking me in. Will you show me the upstairs?"

There's a snort of frustration from Alaric but past that, he just stands and heads off. He knows better than to harass members of the house and besides, once they step through the doors and he realizes they're here to stay, they're part of his pack.

"Absolutely," Evie states with a grin, tilting her head as a gesture for Fran to follow.

"Now, I don't know if Jerry or any of the social workers told you, but you're the second kid I'm going to be guardian of. Harry just moved in a few days ago." Evie heads up the steps to the upstairs and the whole house really does look like a flawless mix of amazing castle and comfortable home.

"My social worker mentioned I might be sharing you with someone, but I don't mind. I like having lots of people around."

Fran follows, looking around the whole time. Taking everything in. It's surprisingly cozy, for a castle, she thinks. "Oh -- what would you like to be called?"

"Me, too. As long as I have the space, I'll take in anyone that needs a home." Evie grew up having almost nothing. Now that she has so much, she's going to do her best to share it all.

"Oh, Evie's fine. I don't need to be called anything but that."

For Harry

She'd been told there was someone else here. A boy, about her age. That ought to be nice. So once she settles things in her room, she decides to go looking for him. Knocking on doors until someone answers.

Harry's still mostly getting used to the freedom he's been given. He hasn't taken up much of the room still and was sitting in his corner while gently petting Hedwig. He was surprised by the fact she was there but also he didn't really feel like questioning it.

He overhears someone at his door and has to stop himself from trying to analyze the knock first before getting up and pulling the door open. He's surprised to find a girl not too far away in age with him.

"Oh... Hello." He offers.

"Hello to you, too. I'm Fran. I've just moved in, so I thought I'd introduce myself." She offers her hand with a warm smile. Though she gets distracted because -- "Oh my, do you have an owl?"

"Lovely to meet you." He gives her a soft smile and then looks back when Hedwig lets out a squawk, reminding him that she's there.

"Oh. Yeah, this is Hedwig, I got her for my eleventh birthday since it's sort of a big deal where I'm from. I'm Harry and I've only been here about two weeks now. Still getting used to everything."
