[CLOSED] I wanna run away with you
Who: Zoey Westen (
pythianwoman), and Nick Burkhardt (
grimmfaced)
What: A Seer and a Grimm go to the Metroplex
When: End of July before the event starts
Where: The Metroplex to start
Warning(s): None. Just rock climbing and archery and banter and such.
Despite the omnipresent threat of a certain feral knife-happy doppelganger (who's living annoyingly rent-free in her head some days), Zoey's actually pretty fucking happy, here. Maybe it's because it reminds her a little of the places she's been more than Fae Fucktown did, or because of the peoplemost of the people, and having a familiar face is great, too, but Haven's all right. Despite the sweltering heat during daylight hours.
Some days she tries to minimize her time spent outside, in the heat and the suns. Not today, though. Although it's later, which helps.
She'd set out to distract Nick, the night they'd met. The night she'd dragged him out to dance with her. The look on his face had been a familiar one, as was the way he clenched his beer bottle. The telltale signs of a man with something on his mind and trying very hard to not let it be. She'd set out to distract him. Try and take his mind off things, whatever those things were.
And she's doing it again; knowing all too well that that shit doesn't just go away most of the time. It stays with you. Whether you like it or not. So she calls him up. Asks him if he wants to check out the Metroplex with her. She thought it was a movie theater when she first arrived, thanks to the name. But it turns out to be so much more. And it sounds like fun.
She asks him to join her. Meet her there. And that's where he'll find her at the agreed upon time, waiting outside. Her dark hair pulled back in a fancy braided 'do to keep it off her face and out of the way and dressed in clothes that are cute but comfortable and easy to move in. Good for physical exertion. And the heat.

I suck but Nick is finally here! :D
Plus there is something kind of nice about the light flirtation that exists between them and has ever since the first night they met at the bar. The night when she had gotten him to dance with her as a way to distract him from his thoughts. Yes, he had been aware of what she was up to at the time and he hadn't minded.
She seems to have a sixth sense for it too as he finds himself brooding a bit when her call comes along with the question of whether he wants to check out the Metroplex with her or not. He agrees to meet her there, not sure what she has in mind since he knows that he isn't a movie theater but it doesn't matter. It'll be nice to just hang out and spend time together.
When he shows up, he is dressed casually in a pair of dark jeans and a simple blue t-shirt. He isn't wearing his usual jacket today though because the heat kind of forbids it and he doesn't want to show up a sweaty mess. Spying her, he takes a moment to appreciate the sight of her as he walks towards her with an easy smile. "Hey."
