Who: Peter Parker and you. Yes, you Also, potentially Spider-Man and you
What: A catch all becauseI've been really inactive. Peter needs to explore town more and Spider-Man's gotta make an appearance because he gotta, okay?
Where: Oh, you know.
When: Eh. Whenever you wanna say it happened so long as it was in the month of September.
WARNINGS: Some potentially triggering stuff might be in some threads. Will mark if especially triger-y
[ This feels suspiciously like a proposal - Locked to Gwen ] ]
One thing Peter loved about his relationship with Gwen was that he very rarely ever felt like a bundle of nerves around her like he was with nearly everyone else. He felt like he could relax around her and not have to worry about impressing her. He still worried sometimes that she'd get impatient with him for some of his more deep-seeded issues but she'd shown time and time again that was practically just perfect and a saint for dealing with all his bullshit.
But right now he was nervous. Extremely nervous. He'd spent a long, long time trying to work out what to get Gwen for her birthday and he'd finally decided on something that felt a bit like a gamble but at the same time he was sure she'd love it.
He sucks in a breath and looks up at his reflection in the mirror. He was dressed up a little more than usual with his hair combed and gelled lightly so his curls were under some semblance of control. He lets out the same breath and then inspects his appearance for signs of blemishes and then checks his teeth. He starts to leave the restroom but comes back a half second later and decides to floss. Again.
Once Peter finally feels his appearance is satisfactory he pulls a small, teal box out of his pocket and opens it. He's not 'popping the question' the question, he reminds himself, looking a sapphire stone set on a sliver band, encrusted with-well not diamonds but some really pretty gemstones. This was easily the most expensive thing he's ever bought in his life and probably would have been ten thousand times more expensive in Queens. It's just a promise ring-he's not even sure why he's so nervous about this.
He snaps the box closed as he hears movement downstairs and fumbles to get it back in his pocket.
"Hey!" He greets as he moves to the lower level. "Ready for dinner?" Because of course he's going to take her to dinner first-that's how this works, isn't it? ...Is he sure he's not proposing?
[ Who Needs Sleep anyway? - Locked to Aunt May and Possibly Mr Stark ]
Peter had actually been sleeping okay-not great-but okay since he'd arrived at Beachville and he felt a lot better having his family with him and having room to move around. He really did mostly enjoy his time on the VT but nothing could compare to the freedom to move around where ever he wanted.
But just as they always did, the bad night came back and Peter found himself sleeping less and less. He didn't really think much of it the first time he woke up in the middle of the night and was able to get back to sleep relatively easy but it seemed to grow increasingly more difficult as the month progressed. He finds himself laying in bed, stating at fading glowing the dark stickers and wondering if it was possible they were they same ones from his room back when he was little but that was probably impossible.
He turns his head to see the clock nearby and sees that it's just a little after three fifteen in the morning. "Great." He whispers to himself before sitting up and glancing around in the dark. Since he isn't tired, he gets up and moves off to grab a soda from the kitchen downstairs to start in on some homework. He might as well do something productive if he's not gonna sleep.
He pauses on his way to the kitchen table and squints at May's door. He can hear some kind of commotion in there. Was she not asleep? He sets his backpack down and moves over to her door. Well, if she's not asleep maybe they can watch a movie or something.
"You awake, Aunt May?" He asks gently, softly knocking just incase she was actually asleep.
[ Can Peter learn to drive a boat? Roll to find out. - Locked to Mr Stark ]
Okay, so Tony couldn't teach him how to drive a car, apparently. Peter's sure he saw a car the other day but apparently not. Oh well-he'd somehow managed to convince Tony to teach him to drive a boat instead. Which was sorta like a car, in a way. Just... on water. A little more nerve-wracking. Does he admit that he's nervous? Of course not. He's just happy to learn because of course Tony Stark and drive a motorboat.
For the time being though, Peter's seated at the back of the boat nearby and watching Tony's moments. He also has his headphones in, music playing in order to try and drown out some of the loud noises from the motor. Peter wanted to start driving immediately but was turned down because 'there's too many people he could crash into' or something. So maybe he was pouting just a little.
"Can I take over now?" He asks in a very 'are we there yet' fashion. "There's like, no way I can hit anyone all the way out here."
[ A Day in the life of your friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. - OTA ]
There wasn't really much crime happening around Beachville. Probably because the climate was awesome and it felt great pretty much all the time that no one was in a bad enough mood to commit terrible crimes. Still though, it made for a boring Patrol. There weren't too many tall buildings so Spider-Man is limited in how high he can swing and feels much less impressive in this situation.
Still though, he helps where he can. He gives directions to someone, takes note stores that have moved although none seem to have lately. Bought a coffee from Starkbucks and tried to bribe the waiter into not ratting him out for getting extra shots of espresso, got a cat out of a tree, sat with a little boy that skinned his knee, told some kids off being mean to another kid and used his web as a tightrope.
Nothing too exciting was happening so he allows himself to rest in one of his webhammocks. It isn't long before he's nodding off and roughly two hours later the web dissolves and Spider-Man hits the ground with a startled yelp.
"I'm okay." He grunts as he gets back to his feet. "Just a slight miscalculation. But it's fine-I'm fine."
[ Have you tried turning it off and on again? - OTA ]
On most days, Peter Parker loved his job helping people with computer issues. This job was basically tailored to him as he knew way more about computers than even his boss probably did. Today though, Peter was really feeling the frustration. Not because of some elderly man that was struggling to figure out how to save a file-no, he didn't mind those in the least it was this rude lady at Starkbucks. She had her blonde hair done up and nails painted a shimmery silver and bitching at him that she was going to be late to an important presentation if he didn't hurry up.
Peter held his tongue though and just continued to try and work on her problem-for some reason the computer would freeze up and crash when certain programs were opened but she insisted that there was no way her computer could have a virus.
"Ma'am this really looks like a virus." He tries to say as polite as he can. She's offended now and accuses him of treating her like she's stupid. (Peter might think that, but he hasn't said it.) "No, no. I'm not saying that-I'm just saying that there are new viruses everyday and you can't possible protect your computer from all of them and-" And she cuts him off, telling him about how rude he's being and she'll be leaving a bad survey.
He sucks in a breath and just lets her rant as he works on the computer. If he gets it fixed then maybe she'll be happy again. At last he's able to solve the problem and spoilers, it was a virus which he's now being accused of putting on her laptop so that he could fix it just to get her money. Some people.
Once she's gone he just lets out a long sigh and rubs at his eyes. He should get a medal for dealing with that crazy lady.

"Yeah, that woman was a real Karen." Peter states and then shakes off his irritation at the woman he'd deemed to be a Karen and focuses on the phone.
"I mean, it is a computer just, you know. Pocket-sized." He offers gently. "What's going on with it?"

"Oh, I get it." He nods in understanding. "Yeah-that one uh Flux-Tok I guess it's called? That's like uh.. dance challenge app. You don't have to dance in it but it's uh really just for fun. You can also scroll through existing videos." He explains, hoping that's at least somewhat coherent. "But a lot of the apps are mainly for fun and keeping up with people online-I post to Flutter somewhat frequently."
