It wasn't every day that one ran into goats while doing errands before a work shift. In fact, he couldn't remember the last time he'd seen a goat in person. Maybe when he was very young and his parents had still been alive. They'd used to take family trips, and he was pretty sure at least one of them had been to a farm or a petting zoo.
Still, it'd been a very long time, and the baby goat that had trotted up to nibble his shoelaces looked even smaller than he remembered goats being. Probably because it was, as previously mentioned, a baby.
Crouching down, he held his hand out to the goat--did goats sniff hands, or was that just cats? He wasn't sure. Looking up, he spotted the rest of the animals and Gansey, and offered a polite nod.
