What: Ronan and Gansey around town with their newly dreamed farm family.
Where: On route from The Barns to the library and back again, running some errands, here and there.

Feel free to tag Ronan or Gansey or both.

Ronan -

When it’s time to leave to meet Gansey Ronan gives the goats and calf a lecture about behaving, staying by his side, and not talking to strangers. He wouldn’t normally let them leave the property, but they’re still too young to be left alone. Especially Drill Bit. So he brings along the old wooden wagon with extra high sides for safety. Normally he uses it to hall cuttings and wood, various building supplies he would need around the property. Today he’s pulling along three small baby goats. Drill Bit, Kick Ass, and Spitfire. Anvil, the Highland calf, can handle the distance so she just follows along.

She cried when she realized she was being left behind so how could he not bring her along?

Every so often the goats jump out and run around, head butt things or people, make lots of noise, chase the calf, the calf chases them, and when they get tired they get scooped up and put back into the wagon.

They’re very excited to not be separated from Ronan and to be exploring. They can be seen making their way through town to the library.

Gansey -

While Ronan ran to get them some lunch for humans and possibly a snack for their four legged friends, Gansey sat outside the library with the wagon full of goats. Occasionally, one of them slips between the bars to trot off to visit whoever walks by. If any of them ranges too far away, Gansey lets out a whistle and they gambol back to them. All except one. The smallest goat, Drill Bit, always stays near Gansey. Usually her head rests in his lap so that he can scritch her ears. Anvil has better manners than her goat siblings, finding a quiet spot in the shade to watch for Ronan.

If anyone asks about the herd, Gansey will try to answer their questions, but Ronan’s the one with more farm knowledge. If anyone wants to pet a member of the menagerie, all will be happy to have the attention.

Adam was still suspicious of almost everything and everyone. He'd even been suspicious of Gansey at first. Though could he really be blamed when there was something weird with time going on? He had to be careful about what he said, and sometimes what he did, but mostly the former. There was just a lot on his mind, and feeling like he was vaguely out of place on top of being kidnapped hadn't helped.

He was also still working on getting a feel for this place, which was how he ran into Ronan and the animals. Or rather, how he was minding his own business and ended up being headbutted in the leg by one of the goats. Looking up, he saw Ronan before crouching down to give the little goat some scritches.

"Hey," he said. "They're cute."

"Sounds like someone I know." By which he meant, someone he was talking to right now. Kick Ass, what a name for a little goat. This was what happened when Ronan was allowed to name things, he guessed. Somehow, he didn't doubt that this goat would grow up to be kick ass, though.

Looking up again, he smiled, and it had very little to do with the adorable cow now vying for his attention. He rubbed her head, perfectly content in this moment. Sometimes, he envied Ronan. This had been his life, growing up surrounded by animals and love. Spending the summer at the Barns had showed him how important everything was to Ronan, how it had shaped him. It was so vastly different than how Adam had grown up.

"How are they settling in?" The animals, but Ronan, too. He was already making this place a home, which was more than Adam had done so far.

Adam knew the animals were in good hands, at least, weird names aside. Ronan might have projected a prickly exterior, but like Gansey had told him once, he wasn't as tough as he acted. Besides that, he'd grown up on a farm.

Also that sure was a smooth segue. So smooth that for a moment the gears in Adam's brain screeched to a halt. Once upon a time, it'd been that the appeal of staying at the Barns had partly been because no one had asked him to stay. But that was before he'd decided he would literally drop out of Harvard and move to a college closer to Henrietta for Ronan.

"Should I?"

Adam knew exactly what he wanted right now. Some of those things, he couldn't have, but the rest... The Barns was the closest thing he had to home here, too, but he hadn't wanted to ask. He hadn't wanted to make any assumptions when everything had been tossed in the air.

It was hard to imagine the Barns without everything that made it Ronan's home in it, but mattresses and crates reminded him of his place at the church. They could get furniture eventually, he was sure of it, and until then, it was the people that made a home, anyway.

Looking down at Anvil, he scritched her head. "I'll have to move my things over," he said. All he had was a trunk and some clothes, at least.

"I don't know," he admitted. He'd tried not to think about it too hard, actually. There were a few options, though. Either there were two Ronans, or time was functioning like a circle. "If I remember things, that means they had to have happened, right? Which means...I don't know what that means." There were either two Ronans, or time was weird.

"Who?" He looked up from Anvil again, frowning a little. "I don't have much, at least," he added. It wouldn't take long to carry it from his apartment to the Barns. He hoped, anyway.

He started to reply, stopped, and studied Ronan for a moment. "Do you usually dream about me?" He knew his Ronan did, but this was a little different. It wasn't the first time Ronan had referred to him as a dream, either, but Adam didn't think he was anywhere near lovely enough to be one of his dreams.

The corners of Adam's mouth twitched into an almost smile. "I know." He'd been there before, but it hadn't been so bad. "You dream beautiful things too, though." Maybe Ronan wasn't at that point yet, but he had the potential for it, and Adam fully believed he would reach that potential.

Ronan was something else, that was what he was. Savagely handsome and a dreamer of beautiful creations. Sometimes, Adam still felt guilty about asking him to dream up the blackmail evidence against Greenmantle. It was vile compared to the things Ronan dreamed when he wasn't plagued by night horrors. But that both had and hadn't happened yet, and he pushed the memories aside.

"Every one of them is beautiful." Goats and cow alike. He nodded. "Okay." He'd gladly carry a goat for any reason, though he'd feel a little bad not carrying some of his belongings.
