When: Batman portions are night! Otherwise any time for the others!

OCTOBER 5TH ~ THE GREENS.
The sudden change of landscape made Bruce Wayne even more paranoid and unsure of the area they were in. Beachville was nice - almost like a summer paradise. However, Wechester City reminded him more of his own home. Gotham City. He had to wonder if there were corrupt cops, mobsters running the city, and a gallery of rogues that seemed insane to anyone who didn't know the city. He hoped not.

However... Wechester Enterprises had caught his attention ever since it appeared. It reminded him of his own multi-billion dollar company back home. He needed a job and running his own company seemed like a good enough resume to get in. It would let him poke around and see what was going on inside the company that just appeared seemingly over night. Maybe even find some clues to why these fluxes and everything happened.

For now though, he is sitting on a park bench, enjoying the crisp weather. With one cup from Starkbucks of course.

OCTOBER WHENEVER ~ THE ROOFTOPS OF THE CITY.
It took evidence to show that he had to don the Suit. Enough shady dealings inside the company to make him warrant potentially needing to go in as the Bat. Even now he isn't too sure that he needed to go in as the Bat. Instead he is simply staking out on rooftops near by. Enough to get the idea of the Bat roaming around. If Wechester Cityt was like Gotham... then there was a chance they'd need the Bat.

Otherwise he'd just simply go back to the shadows and be out when needed. Maybe this was something like the White Portuguese... then maybe it only called for the real mask. Bruce Wayne.

Beast has been most reluctant to leave his home. Some people here seemed to be alright with his outward appearance but there was always the possibility there would be someone who would be shocked. That could lead to attention of the worst kind.

So Beast had made a habit of only coming out at night until he could be sure everything would be alright otherwise. It was easy to scale up to the rooftops of places when one had claws that could easily sink into the architecture. So there he was, a figure skulking about eight-feet tall and with a cape on.

Alice had been one thing. Snow White another. Even Superman had been another.

Why seeing the hulking beast figure made him uncomfortable... he had no idea. Maybe this place is making him slip. Or maybe he's already lost his mind and he is in Arkham, in the cell next to Lex Luthor. Either way, the six-foot-two bat shaped cowl wearing man watches the Beast scale the building.

Once he reaches the top, Beast takes a moment to look at the city beneath him. This place is strange, even moreso considering he hasn't traveled far beyond his castle in about nine years.

Then there's a whiff of something in the air and Bruce is going to see something a little odd. Sniff. Sniff sniff. He lifts his head up, trying to catch the scent of someone who is close by like a dog or a wolf would. That's right, he's trying to smell Batman out.

He is amazed that some part of him is surprised at that. After everything in Gotham, Kryptonians, Amazonians? This shouldn't be surprising. Yet, on some level, it is.

The Bat stands to his full height and slips from the shadows to the edge. If the Beast is going to be able to sniff him out--well, there's no reason to hide. Instead he lets his cape hide his figure and he stares evenly at the creature much taller than him.

Shit, he thinks to himself.

His nose leads him to where a-- is that a man?-- steps out of the shadows. Beast lets his eyes adjust to the gloom for a moment, but the longer he stares at Batman, the more he's confused. Is he wearing some sort of a costume? He's never seen anything like it before. How very strange.

"Who are you?" Beast says in a deep, rumbling voice that one would expect someone of his looks to possess. Look at that, it can speak as well as think. Despite the mis-match of animals that make him up, there is one thing that is very human about the Beast, and that's his eyes. They're a deep blue and they're sad more than menacing right now.

"You'd only need to remember my name if I was after you."

The Bat is meant to be a sign, a symbol. He's only real and on the streets when he needs to be. There's not much point in worrying the local population. He simply nods to the Beast before taking a few steps away to the ledge of the roof.

"Wait!" For all his great size, Beast can move swiftly when he wants to, fast enough to match speed with any horse or wolf. He's almost on top of the Batman when he realizes how his actions might be perceived and he stops.

"Why do you dress up like an animal?" Frankly, Beast isn't entirely sure which animal he's supposed to look like, but the man definitely has a cowl with ears on it.

"A bat." The Batman responds, turning his head to look at the the Beast, craning his head up. "Bats scare me. It scares others that hurt others."

He doesn't expect people to understand. Gotham City isn't for the faintest of hearts. Nor does it make much sense to people outside of it.

Beast's heavy brow furrows as he thinks that over in his mind. He's not dumb by any sense of the word, but when faced with a new concept, he's got to think it over very carefully.

Let him get this straight.

"So you dress up like a bat...to scare some people while you protect others?" It sounds a little strange to Beast but the concept of vigilante justice isn't exactly something they have in eighteenth-century France. He's still some decades behind when the Revolution would occur.

A firm nod as he simply narrows his eyes under the cowl. "My city has been turned inside out by mobsters, gangs, and people who are sick and need help. The law has been corrupted and the system can't function in the name of justice for those who deserve it."

"That's a very altruistic thing to do." Something that Beast himself has never really even thought about. Helping others had never been at the top of his list of priorities, though that's slowly changing as the months have gone on back home.
