Who: Richard Gansey III and Blue Sargent (
smudging)
What: Discussing the alternate craziness
When: Dec 21
Where: Hotel Coffee Shop
Warnings: Will update as needed
Gansey missed being able to drive the Pig or Pandora, but he didn't want to risk Camaro or Blazer to the risks of snowy roads. Walking wasn't too unpleasant other than it was far colder in Driftcrest than Henrietta or even D.C. But he was bundled up in a cost of nearly blinding citrus green and a scarf that matched the Camaro. After ordering tea - a reminder of Malory and England and clear sign that he was looking for some sort of reassurance or comfort - he sat down at a table near the door.
Sliding his messenger bag from his shoulder, he hung it on the chair and shrugged off the coat, he kept the scarf on. Another small gesture to keep his nerves steady and his emotions carefully locked away. He told himself that it was so Blue could easily find him, but he knew that it was a reminder of the Pig. Letting out a sigh, he opened bag, pulling out a sketchbook and pencils. As he waited for Blue, he started doodling images along a blank page, the images becoming more detailed as the minutes passed.

Until he'd started getting into the drawing that was slowly forming across the page of his sketchbook. The sketchbook itself was something new, something that the Gotham version of Gansey had carried around the way another version had carried his Glendower journal.
As the doodle became a decent, detailed sketch of Chainsaw, he became less aware of his surroundings.
Until Blue spoke. Looking up, he blinked up at her, mind slowly shifting from drawing to the cafe. "No, I haven't been waiting that long." It hadn't felt like he'd been sitting for long, but all of his attention had been on finding the right way to draw feathers and talons. "The snow does take awhile to get used to. Do you want me to watch your things while you get something to drink?"
Gansey knew better than to offer to pay even though they were all basically in the same situation financially now.
