What: Investigating the weird curfew and getting scared in return.
Where: All Throughout Driftcrest
When: January 13th through the 18th
Warnings: Mentions of creepy feelings, intense fear, probably swearing. Please warn for content in your threads should it come up.

By now, people brought to Driftcrest will be aware that something is wrong. The armed guards might be a big tip-off, as would the Ice Statue Graveyard that people seem keen to avoid. And then there's that weird curfew that has businesses running for home before it's even dark out, and people being shoved unceremoniously into hostels for the night, should they be caught out past 8 pm.

And with all this, people might be curious as to why. That's what this is for. Post below with your character investigating the strange goings-ons, poking around to try to find out why the eight PM curfew is such a big deal. Tag others doing the same!

But remember; shortly after the sun goes down, if you're still out, you will feel as though something very sinister is following you. It will spike all of your paranoias and fears and your fight or flight response will demand that you run. Run fast. Whatever it is will follow. You won't see it, no. But you'll hear it. Skittering, growling, the air around you growing colder the closer it gets.

But don't worry. You'll make it home. No one's gonna get hurt.

Honestly, he was kind of glad to see the Batman around. Even though he still felt like something was behind him, some company calmed him down a little.

"Nothing but a lot of nervous people," he replied with a shrug. Which included himself.

A nod came from that surprisingly flexible cowl. "That's what I see as well. Avoidance as well... heightened security." He turned his head to look at the other Spider. "They're scared."

"Yeah...There's definitely something around here, that's for sure."

He couldn't help glancing over his shoulder slightly, because he could still feel there was something there.

There was a glance cast behind them when the younger hero moved. "Any idea what that might be?"

"Not a clue. Whatever they are, they're quick. They still manage to keep up with me no matter how fast I'm swinging."

Swinging. Ah, that's right. They used web looking mechanics to propel themselves forward. He needed to take the time to study them closer and learn how they operated. Though, Ghost-Spider seemed more in-tune with her abilities.

"Too fast for a trap?"

In his defense, he is still technically new to the superhero business.

"It might depend on the trap. I doubt they'd get caught if I tried spinning a giant web."

Not that he'd actually considered it. Maybe.

Technology is limited here more than he'd like. With enough time? He could make something on the level he could back home. They just don't have that time--or so it feels.

"Do you think they'd break through the web?"

[idontgetpaid]

"It's hard to say for sure," he replied with a shrug. "My webbing is pretty strong, but without even a glimpse of these things, I can't judge how strong they are. I can give it a shot, though."

"Even if they break through it? That will tell us something. An idea of how strong they are." The Bat finally turns to look at the younger hero. "How strong is the webbing?"

"Well, I haven't had a chance to do official tests on them," he admitted. "But I think it has a tensile strength of a couple hundred pounds per square millimeter of cross section, at least."

He remembered reading something like that in some of the forums about people estimating the strength of Spider-Man's webbing.

"The real problem is that they do dissolve after a while."

Impressive.

"We'll need to find a way to test your webbing. See what it's really capable of. This is a good start." The Bat wonders if he's ever had time to really test out what he's capable of. Or, did he just get thrown into it?

"How long do you usually have till they dissolve?"

"It'll last a couple of hours before it starts breaking down." There's a hint of a grin in his voice as he adds, "Leaves less of a mess to clean up later."
