End of the Long Winter.
What: The entirety of Driftcrest and YOU! Even you new faces!
Where: The large park in the center of town.
When: From the 15th to the 18th
Warnings: Will warn as needed.
The people of Driftcrest have so much to celebrate. Their loved ones have been returned to them, and the Unseen are well and truly and genuinely gone. Not only that, but a Winter that had been going on for years is finally ended and it's well and truly Summer. Flowers are blooming, there's color in the town that wasn't there before. People are happy. They have their freedom back, and are taking full advantage of it.
Now that there's no longer a curfew, the party can go well into the night with music, dancing, food of all kinds all over the place both set on tables and in various food trucks.
With the hammocks hung up in the area, along with portable ones available to purchase, and twinkling string lights threaded through the trees, the setting is peaceful. A far cry from the stress of the last few weeks.
There's music, both live and recorded, and an outdoor dance floor has been set up under some beautiful hanging lanterns and twinkling string lights. Once the sun goes down, there'll be fires set up for people to sit by and make s'mores.
All in all, this promises to be a memorable experience.
Grab some food, buy a hammock, find somewhere to celebrate because this party will go on for a while.

Evie Grimhilde - OTA - first day of the party.
While she's not feeling well enough to dance (which is a shame because she loves dancing), she's absolutely watching people on the dance floor, comfortably seated on one of the chairs just on the perimeter. She had food with her, too. One of the funnel cakes and a plain cheese pizza that she's eating slowly, smiling softly at how much joy was in the air.
Later on, she can be seen talking to one of the local children, asking for directions on how to make the most perfect s'more. Not that she hasn't, but this is a child and Evie does have a soft spot for children. So she's listening to this kid very carefully, nodding at every piece of expert advice she's given. Soon enough, she has her own s'more. It's sort of burnt, but the kid is telling her she did a great job and giving her a hug, and that's fine by Evie. She returns the gesture with a laugh, thanking the kid and moving on.
While she wasn't actively seeking out watching someone take on the Ghost Pepper Pizza challenge, she certainly was watching someone take it on. Every cringe they made, every wince or groan of pain and Evie's hands were up by the side of her face as she cringed and winced along with them. And while she didn't understand something like this, Evie was certainly hoping them the best. Come be absolutely horrified with her?
When it's late enough, Evie can be found sitting on one of the benches. She's a bit worn out. Still happy to be there, but needing time to sit and settle a bit. If you're someone she knows and you walk close enough, she'll wave to get your attentoin.
"How are you enjoying the party?" she asks, grinning from ear to ear.
Ghost Pepper Pizza
He's on his third beer and nowhere close to being warm and fuzzy from it.
"Noah would love this." He took a drink. "You feeling okay?"
You know...from being nearly killed by the Unseen and returned from the frozen statue thing.
Re: Ghost Pepper Pizza
She turns to look at Ronan and smiles. She's looking like her old self. Happier, even, for many a reason.
"I'm feeling fantastic, dear. Thank you for asking." Turning to look at the man suffering through the challenge, she cringes a bit and turns to look at Ronan again. She's unable to watch something so ridiculous, mostly because it's making her miss Jay and Carlos. They'd have been all over this challenge.
"How about you? How are you doing?"
Re: Ghost Pepper Pizza
Gansey had blamed himself and Ronan had nothing to offer to help him or to save Evie. Nothing he could dream seemed to be capable of working on the Unseen and the victims. That reality alone had been turning circles in his head, but that wasn't the reason he was drinking in mock celebration.
"Have you tried all the food trucks?"
no subject
"Here, I got us a couple of drinks," She offers with an easy smile. "The guy who was selling them said they're fruity but strong, so I don't really know what kind of fruit they put in it but it tastes good."
Because, oops, she hasn't clued in that 'strong' means there is alcohol in it.

She takes the drink from Mal and looks at it for a moment. "Strong how?"
Oh, these sweet summer children.
She takes a sip and shivers some. If he was talking about a strong flavor, it certainly had that. But Evie likes it, whatever it is.
"What did the vendor call it? It's delightful."

"I don't know," She admits to her friend while taking another sip of her drink. The first sip had definitely packed a punch and it still did though it was getting easier with each one.
"I don't remember, something with an M. He said we can get it frozen too, like a slush." Which sounds appealing to her.

"We'll have to try it like that alter." Watching the man eat the last couple of bites of pizza, she looks at Mal again.
"I think the boys would be all over this challenge," she says after a few moments, missing the boys.
"They'd be arguing over who could eat the most pizza, and regret it later. But in the moment, they'd be having a blast."
no subject
"They'd love this whole party," She adds, glancing around.
She takes another long sip, not really thinking much about how her head feels a bit lighter than before. Mostly because it's a nice feeling after everything that has happened over the last little bit since her arrival.
"Have you tried the funnel cakes yet? They smell amazing and you can get strawberries on them!"
