End of the Long Winter.
What: The entirety of Driftcrest and YOU! Even you new faces!
Where: The large park in the center of town.
When: From the 15th to the 18th
Warnings: Will warn as needed.
The people of Driftcrest have so much to celebrate. Their loved ones have been returned to them, and the Unseen are well and truly and genuinely gone. Not only that, but a Winter that had been going on for years is finally ended and it's well and truly Summer. Flowers are blooming, there's color in the town that wasn't there before. People are happy. They have their freedom back, and are taking full advantage of it.
Now that there's no longer a curfew, the party can go well into the night with music, dancing, food of all kinds all over the place both set on tables and in various food trucks.
With the hammocks hung up in the area, along with portable ones available to purchase, and twinkling string lights threaded through the trees, the setting is peaceful. A far cry from the stress of the last few weeks.
There's music, both live and recorded, and an outdoor dance floor has been set up under some beautiful hanging lanterns and twinkling string lights. Once the sun goes down, there'll be fires set up for people to sit by and make s'mores.
All in all, this promises to be a memorable experience.
Grab some food, buy a hammock, find somewhere to celebrate because this party will go on for a while.

Evie Grimhilde - OTA - first day of the party.
While she's not feeling well enough to dance (which is a shame because she loves dancing), she's absolutely watching people on the dance floor, comfortably seated on one of the chairs just on the perimeter. She had food with her, too. One of the funnel cakes and a plain cheese pizza that she's eating slowly, smiling softly at how much joy was in the air.
Later on, she can be seen talking to one of the local children, asking for directions on how to make the most perfect s'more. Not that she hasn't, but this is a child and Evie does have a soft spot for children. So she's listening to this kid very carefully, nodding at every piece of expert advice she's given. Soon enough, she has her own s'more. It's sort of burnt, but the kid is telling her she did a great job and giving her a hug, and that's fine by Evie. She returns the gesture with a laugh, thanking the kid and moving on.
While she wasn't actively seeking out watching someone take on the Ghost Pepper Pizza challenge, she certainly was watching someone take it on. Every cringe they made, every wince or groan of pain and Evie's hands were up by the side of her face as she cringed and winced along with them. And while she didn't understand something like this, Evie was certainly hoping them the best. Come be absolutely horrified with her?
When it's late enough, Evie can be found sitting on one of the benches. She's a bit worn out. Still happy to be there, but needing time to sit and settle a bit. If you're someone she knows and you walk close enough, she'll wave to get your attentoin.
"How are you enjoying the party?" she asks, grinning from ear to ear.
Ghost Pepper Pizza
He's on his third beer and nowhere close to being warm and fuzzy from it.
"Noah would love this." He took a drink. "You feeling okay?"
You know...from being nearly killed by the Unseen and returned from the frozen statue thing.

"Here, I got us a couple of drinks," She offers with an easy smile. "The guy who was selling them said they're fruity but strong, so I don't really know what kind of fruit they put in it but it tastes good."
Because, oops, she hasn't clued in that 'strong' means there is alcohol in it.

Adam Parrish | OTA
As miserable as Adam was, he was glad they'd been able to do a good thing for Driftcrest. He was glad to see people happy, relaxing, without the threat of the Unseen looming over everyone. The sudden shift to summer reminded him of his last summer at the Barns before he was snatched away from Harvard, but he was doing his best not to think about that. In fact, he was trying (and failing) not to think about a lot of things. It was the murder crabs all over, having to watch Ronan cry, having to tell him this won't work. Except this time it was a completely different context.
He half-heartedly picked at a funnel cake even as his stomach growled. He hadn't eaten a whole lot over the last week, and not for lack of trying. You'd think it'd be hard to be miserable during a celebration like this, but Adam was a master at achieving the impossible.
Looking up when someone came near, he forced a half-hearted smile. "It's a nice celebration, isn't it?" he said. His Southern accent was out in full force, meaning he couldn't be bothered to hide it like he usually did.
b. Later that night
The dark circles under his eyes spoke volumes to how well he'd been sleeping, but not getting a lot of sleep was nothing new to Adam. What was new was falling asleep in a hammock in the middle of a party, hearing ear pressed against his curled arm, effectively muffling the loud music. The music wouldn't have kept him up anyway; he could sleep when Ronan's electronic music was playing, and this wasn't much different in terms of volume.
Wake him up?
B | Stalker alert!
So he'll keep watch and drink his upgraded drink. Beer was never his favorite, but it had been easier to get back home. Whiskey is in his blood, like his dads, so it works a whole lot better for killing off his brain so he doesn't have to think. Nothing to think about. Gansey and Adam have to do what's best for themselves and he's going to accept whatever that is so long as he can sit under a tree and watch to make sure they can sleep.

Miles Morales - OTA
It had been a while since Miles had felt so at ease, and he was taking advantage of every moment. With all the people in town returned, including some people he'd known, and the Unseen gone, he was using the party as an opportunity to finally relax.
He spends a lot of time around the food trucks, trying some of everything. He mostly hung around the pizza and fries trucks, though he definitely grabbed some juice from the pressed food truck. And naturally he had to have some funnel cake as well.
He could also be found on the dance floor in between munching, burning off the extra calories so that he could eat more. Every once in a while he'd talk to the DJ and suggest a song or two.
B. Later that Night
Buying a hammock probably wasn't completely necessary, and he didn't know what he was going to do with it after the party, but he decided that would be future Miles' problem. Right now, he just wanted to enjoy himself, which involved setting up his newly-purchased hammock by one of the bonfires, reclining near the warmth of the fire and staring up at the sky, while occasionally getting up to make a s'more.
C. Wildcard
((Feel free to catch Miles anywhere at the party. He'll be looking around everywhere))
A:
"I can smell it from here and it smells amazing. Plus, five hundred dollars is five hundred dollars, and I didn't get to try this the last time they were here."
Man, you lock a girl in her house to recover for a week and the second she sets foot outside, she wants to go all out.

Not that she's comfortable in this one. She's not. Not by any means.
Still. She figures if she's going to be here for a while, and she is - isn't she?, she might as well get acquainted with some of the people, and not just Peter.
Which is why she's here now, approaching Miles with a nervous but warm smile, her hands fidgeting with the ends of her shirt sleeve as he gets another s'more going over a fire.
"Do you have s'more of those s'mores by chance?"

Gwen Stacy - OTA
Thank God for this celebration. Gwen had enjoyed recovering at home, but couldn't really take being in the house another minute. It's not that it was bad there, but Gwen was getting a little tired of the same four walls, over and over. So she'd gotten dressed, made sure her hair was actually behaving and even touched up the pink dye on the ends.
And she left the house. Simple as that. The party was a good walk from home, but Gwen was feeling up to it. The closer she got to the sounds and smells, the more excited she became and of course, her first stop?
B: Time to eat.
The Food Trucks. Specifically to get a chocolate covered strawberry cupcake before she ate anything else. Life is short, eat dessert first. Later on, she's absolutely stopping at the pizza truck for a twice-baked cheese and hitting up Pressed for a mango strawberry juice. It's food. She's sixteen. She's pretty happy with life. Even an attempt to knock her food out of her hands by the school bullies Zach and Derek doesn't get much of a reaction from her. Just a swift sidestep and she disappears into the crowd within seconds.
C: Music
Later on, once she's eaten, she's going to be at the drum kit for the live music. That's her class that's playing, and she has a song or two in her. So after a quick playthrough of a couple songs her class has been working on. She's secretly grateful the last one is slowed down, because it might be tiring her out a bit.
D: Settling down.
Afterward, she can be found carrying a newly-purchased hammock and trying to find a good place to set up. She's been here for hours and is trying to find somewhere to settle. She probably should head back home to sleep, but the energy in this place is far too invigorating. People are happy. Overjoyed. It's practically contagious.
While she's setting up, she spots someone randomly hug another person passing by and while it doesn't look like the hugged knows the person hugging them, that was definitely something.
"You uh...you good?" Gwen asks the hugged when the person that did the hugging walks off. "What was that about?"
E: For Hawk. (Closed)
"I've been looking for you," Gwen says from a few feet away, smiling at Hawk. The party was honestly a lot more crowded than she'd like. It was noisy, there were a lot of scents and she was feeling a bit anxious from the sensory overload. So she sought out Hawk.
She had her hammock on her back, tucked back in it's carrying bag, and a couple cupcakes from the cupcake truck in her hands. "I didn't know which cupcake you wanted, so I grabbed a cinnamon dolce and a key lime."
Read as much as you want into that, Hawk. Or as little. Gwen certainly isn't thinking too much about it. It's just a thing she did for one of her best friends and absolutely nothing more.
Eeeeeeeeee
So he'd rented a hammock and wandered around a bit until he bumped into her.
"Hey," he said, giving her a slightly nervous smile. "Definitely cinnamon dolce. You didn't have to do that though."
But did he like that she thought of him and got him one? Oh yeah.

He takes another bite of his pizza and chews while glancing around. It's good to be out and he's glad everyone feels safe and happy again. Even he was getting sick of the snow. The Abominable snow babies are tucked away safely in their renovated barn, keeping cool, and the goats don't have to wear sweaters.

I WANT TO SAY I'M SORRY BUT I'M TOTALLY NOT.
...says the man in jeans and a battered band t-shirt over a long-sleeve henley that doesn't quite manage to dim the light of the Arc Reactor embedded in his chest, glowing a gentle blue-white through the fabric as its owner pauses for a massive bite of the taco in his own hand.
"No shawarma trucks--sucks, I had a craving." he explains after swallowing, pausing to lift his free hand and wipe a smear of grease off the corner of his mouth. He then gestures to the other man with his taco, looking him up and down.
"But seriously, I mean it--mad props to you, my friend. You have managed to make tacos--tacos--look boring. It's a food truck festival, dude."
He pauses, making a show of trying to peer behind the other guy.
"I mean--if the broom handle's jammed that far up your ass, I can give it a good yank. Won't even hurt, promise. I'm an engineer, I'm good at this stuff..."

Jace Herondale | OTA | Second Day
He can be found lounging in a hammock simply because HE CAN NOW! Or listening to music. or simply people watching. it's an interesting feeling surrounding the town after a battle. Reminds him a lot of his time as a Shadowhunter. The rush after a fight. it's close enough he thinks, standing in the sunlight with his eyes closed and feeling the warmth on his skin.

The taco he was chowing down on wasn't going to do a thing for his hunger, but he'd worry about that later. When he felt up to stomaching the not-fresh blood that was provided to him if he felt like ordering some. He'd almost starved before even realizing that was an option, but now... he really missed blood bars.
"Working on your tan?" he asked, an edge of humor in his voice as he peered at Jace. Why hadn't Kieran thought of snagging a hammock for himself? He could even catch a nap that way.

The voice that speaks up about the enthusiastic ice cream reaction is hesitant and belongs to a heavy set man with an out of fashion bowlcut hairdo and a tired, craggy face. He looks nervous, uncomfortable and out of place; on edge somehow.
But he's trying to blend in and be friendly, today dressed normally; no outlandish Mysterio costume.

Jessica - OTA
Eventually, she could be found sitting off to the side, enjoying a slice of pizza from the Fire'd Up truck, silently impressed that they had actually managed to make it as close to a New York slice as they could without actually being in the city. At her elbow, there was a drink that she had snagged at one of the vendors actually selling something hard to drink. A cup that remained a steady fixture in her hand when she got up to move around later on.
She could be found hanging out near the dance floor once or twice without actually joining in. Then she would drift away to the campfires they had going on, finally settling in on one of the benches and relaxing.
CLOSED TO TONY STANK (:P)
Eventually, Jess couldn't deny that the hammocks looked comfortable and so she finally approached the vendor to get one for herself. Sure, they were meant for two but she wasn't really thinking about that as she set her drink carefully to the side and went through the motion of getting the hammock set up.
She was silently praying that the hammock didn't flip or anything when she turned to sink into it, deciding to sit first and use it almost like a swing when she reached for her drink to snag it up once more. Then she sat back to relax, deciding to enjoy it that way at first before she would inevitably turn to stretch out.
At least, that was the plan.
HE IS ENRAGED. LOOK HOW ENRAGED HE IS. XD
The voice came from the side, just before a certain mouthy engineer with a plate of tacos became visible, wandering up to the edge of the hammock as he just finished chewing and swallowing a bite of his food.

Mal - OTA
Mal loves a good party, especially when there is good food and a lot to do. Of course, it had taken Evie a bit of needling to convince Mal to go but only because she had wanted to make sure her friend was feeling strong enough to handle it all before they went. Not that she hovers over Evie all the time. She knows that Evie has other people there to keep an eye on her and so she tries to offer some space instead of being the worry-wart she feels like she is being.
But luckily the funnel cake truck has enough power to lure her in. Especially when she finds out there are strawberry options which just about makes her whole day and night. After ordering herself a messy little treat, she moves to the side where she sits down at a table and digs in.
She tries to be neat about it, she really does, but it isn't long before there is whip cream and cinnamon on her fingers but she is happy. Enough to be smiling as she takes another bite and looks around.
SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME?
The girl with the blue-purple hair and infectious smile can be found by the dance floor, later on, checking in with Evie and spending a few minutes chatting while they watch people head out to dance. At first, she isn't sure about heading out on her own but eventually, she can't resist.
When the music gets lively, she can be spotted dancing right in the thick of things, smiling to herself as she moves to the beat. She doesn't even seem to mind if someone joins her.
CAMPIRES
But it's nice to eventually wind down and hang out by the fires when they start. Except, this is when she can't help but get a little melancholy. She can't help it as her mind drifts towards Jay and Carlos, thinking about how much they would have loved the whole thing. They would have been right there going to every food truck they possibly could, enjoying all the treats they could have gotten from each and every one. They would have also loved dancing, making s'mores, and sitting by the fire.
She also thinks of Ben and finds her heart aching, completely unaware of the fact that she looks like she might cry at any minute. Mostly because she knows he would be there cuddling with her right now if he could and that makes her miss him. Eventually, she catches herself, sniffling a bit as she quickly wipes a hand across her cheeks while rising to her feet. She needs to step away and wander for a moment, anything to distract herself.

Tandy - OTA
After that, she can be found wandering around and admiring everything. Tonight she was dressed in a simple white dress with thin straps and a hem that ended just above her knees. It felt nice not to be all bundled up to ward off the cold.
By the time she made her way to the campfires, she was more than ready to relax. She didn't want to admit it to anyone but she was tired by the time she got a hammock set up and crawled into it. After that, she was content to lay there, letting the hammock swing ever so slightly as she enjoyed the warmth of the fires nearby and all the noise.
Peter Parker | OTA
He's got a taco with far too many fillings but he doesn't seem to mind as he chows down on it. Pausing a moment because that weird tingling feeling he had earlier was back again-something like a buzz but comforting somehow. Maybe the Taco was just that good.
Re: Peter Parker | OTA
At present, she's on her own. Her spider-sense is, once again, guiding her and the closer she gets to why, the louder that Same Hat sense shouts at her.
When she's near the Taco truck, she sees why.
This was probably unavoidable, but that's fine. Gwen's feeling...fairly happy right now. So she can re-introduce herself to Peter.
"Why does it look like you tried to fit every single salsa on one taco?" Teasing. So much teasing.

Diana Prince | OTA
At this particular party, there are so many sights and sounds and things to look at, but when Diana arrives, she decides to meander through the food trucks first. She isn't eating any of the offerings, just looking at all the different options, and smiling politely at the people running each one.
Each truck she passes by looks more tempting than the previous one, but she's only here to look, not to eat. She'll leave that for the people who've been through the ringer thanks to the Unseen, and for the ones who've been here longer. Still, it's enjoyable enough just walking around and looking.
II. Trees
The setting isn't too crowded, exactly, but Diana finds herself being drawn away from the hustle and bustle and goes over to where the hammocks are set up and the trees are lit with strings of lights that twinkle and shine in the gathering darkness. It's quiet here, and it's peaceful, and it's just what Diana needs right now.
She's been trying to keep her thoughts and her memories from running away from her, but something about this celebration and this night has old memories resurfacing and it's making her seek out a little solitude.
Eventually, she'll rejoin the festivities, but for now, she's just going to walk around in between the trees and think.
III. Dance
When the dancing starts, that's when Diana begins to really feel like old memories that she thought had been laid to rest start coming back to life. She remembers a village filled with kind people, all of whom are long gone now, their lives cut too short by the horrors of war, and she remembers dancing in the square with someone, also gone too soon.
She doesn't intend to join the couples on the dance floor, because she doesn't have a partner anyway, but she's content to watch them and remember happier times.
IV. Campfire
As the hour grows later and the fires are lit, Diana finds a place to sit and warm her hands by the fire. It's been a good night overall, and she's seen people enjoying themselves and relaxing. It's well earned, as far as she's concerned, and it makes her feel happy to see people like herself who have arrived here unexpectedly still managing to have a good time in a place that's not their home.
She still hasn't settled her thoughts on that score; this isn't home, and there are things going on at home that need to be addressed. For now, however, she's here, and she can't see a way to get herself (and everyone else, for that matter) back to where she belongs. So, for the moment, she's just going to take this moment of rest and relaxation and worry about tomorrow another day.

Clark Kent | OTA
While the necessity of fighting is still a sore spot, Clark isn't displeased with the results of battle with the Unseen. It's nice to walk through a crowd, listening to people reunite with their loved ones, and stopping here and there to chat with locals he recognizes from his day job. It's nice to see baseline humans interacting with other people who also have powers.
Clark can be found lurking near the food trucks, drifting from truck to truck as he works his way through the highlights of each menu. There's a decent chance he might purchase a meal for someone, associate or otherwise, who isn't as frugal with paychecks as he tends to be. And, at some point, he might even find his way to the dance floor. Just remember he's a country boy at heart and somewhat shy around people he doesn't know well.
After Dark
Later on, when campfires pop up as a bulwark against the dark, you can find Clark wandering through the trees. He'll stop at a campfire if he recognizes someone, but for the most part he's content to meander on the outskirts of the party. At some point, he might even fold his bulk into a hammock and spend time stargazing or chatting with anyone who walks by.
Wildcard

Bruce has done a fair job of avoiding the Kryptonian thus far. Not out of hate or malice, but simply guilt. It's better if he stays out of the way and allows the man to breathe and have his own life without the future looming over him. Who knows when Clark will return home and lives through it all. The only benefit that Bruce has in this situation is that Clark most likely doesn't know who he is.
Unless he's done some digging and found out from the public who Bruce Wayne, member of the Wechester Board is.
He notes how Clark is getting comfortable in the hammocks. With a nod to himself, Bruce turns and starts to walk away. It's definitely time to leave.
