End of the Long Winter.
What: The entirety of Driftcrest and YOU! Even you new faces!
Where: The large park in the center of town.
When: From the 15th to the 18th
Warnings: Will warn as needed.
The people of Driftcrest have so much to celebrate. Their loved ones have been returned to them, and the Unseen are well and truly and genuinely gone. Not only that, but a Winter that had been going on for years is finally ended and it's well and truly Summer. Flowers are blooming, there's color in the town that wasn't there before. People are happy. They have their freedom back, and are taking full advantage of it.
Now that there's no longer a curfew, the party can go well into the night with music, dancing, food of all kinds all over the place both set on tables and in various food trucks.
With the hammocks hung up in the area, along with portable ones available to purchase, and twinkling string lights threaded through the trees, the setting is peaceful. A far cry from the stress of the last few weeks.
There's music, both live and recorded, and an outdoor dance floor has been set up under some beautiful hanging lanterns and twinkling string lights. Once the sun goes down, there'll be fires set up for people to sit by and make s'mores.
All in all, this promises to be a memorable experience.
Grab some food, buy a hammock, find somewhere to celebrate because this party will go on for a while.

He takes another bite of his pizza and chews while glancing around. It's good to be out and he's glad everyone feels safe and happy again. Even he was getting sick of the snow. The Abominable snow babies are tucked away safely in their renovated barn, keeping cool, and the goats don't have to wear sweaters.
"I'm Ronan, Gansey's...You were his adopted dad in that weird cityscape reality."

Then, Ronan says what he does, and it clicks in his head. Ah.
"I was." There is a nod. "Bruce Wayne. I'd offer a hand, but, you've got yours full."
no subject
He's trying to make polite conversation because Bruce is important to Gansey and Gansey needs people in his life who can help him find stable ground again.
Chainsaw leans close to Ronan's head and then hops and floats down to the ground to walk around one of the trees, searching for shiny things to take him or food to destroy. She stops and inspects Bruce's shoes before moving on.
"Hey! Don't go stealing the metal tips off shoelaces again."
no subject
"I have them now and then. Just because I'm rich doesn't mean I eat expensive meals outside of dinner functions." He raises his eyebrows again. "I'm guessing the raven likes shiny things."
no subject
"Have you talked to Gansey?" He asks as if it's the simplest and most casual question to ever be asked. The thing is he's not great with casual conversation and he doesn't like talking unless there is a reason to talk. And he's not particularly interested in talking to anyone's dad.
So there may a hint of awkwardness in the way he's trying not to be his usual blunt force trauma self because Gansey is important to him and he'd do anything for Gansey.

"Here as in the party or this place?"

Considering the question for a moment, he finally replied, "This was a beach town when I got here. That was...at least four months ago." It'd been longer than he'd thought, really, since his entire life had been turned upside down.

Bruce doesn't feel the need to pull a team together -- not yet. There are plenty of hero types here that they can more or less coordinate and work together if needed. There isn't a formal need for a team like there is back home. Though, it is something to keep in mind.
Just in case.
"Gwen is from your reality isn't she?"

Miles can't help feeling a little jealous. But somehow, apparently it's a lot more complicated than that, given that Bruce doesn't seem entirely thrilled by it.
The question has him a bit surprised, but he shrugs anyway. "Not exactly. She's actually from a different universe than mine, but we met when she and a few others were accidentally pulled into my world."

I WANT TO SAY I'M SORRY BUT I'M TOTALLY NOT.
...says the man in jeans and a battered band t-shirt over a long-sleeve henley that doesn't quite manage to dim the light of the Arc Reactor embedded in his chest, glowing a gentle blue-white through the fabric as its owner pauses for a massive bite of the taco in his own hand.
"No shawarma trucks--sucks, I had a craving." he explains after swallowing, pausing to lift his free hand and wipe a smear of grease off the corner of his mouth. He then gestures to the other man with his taco, looking him up and down.
"But seriously, I mean it--mad props to you, my friend. You have managed to make tacos--tacos--look boring. It's a food truck festival, dude."
He pauses, making a show of trying to peer behind the other guy.
"I mean--if the broom handle's jammed that far up your ass, I can give it a good yank. Won't even hurt, promise. I'm an engineer, I'm good at this stuff..."
LETS GOOOOOO
Bruce really isn't.
"I don't usually draw attention to myself unless I have to. That's the benefit of not being a celebrity here like I am back home." Bruce can't say he's entirely impressed with the attitude, but, he's been around enough people in his life he can adapt to any situation he'd need to. "I'm guessing you usually offer to pull the sticks out of anyone's ass if they either pay you enough, or you think it'd be a good time."

"It happens when you're a busy man. Early jobs mean no late night fun. Well, if I was twenty years younger it would." He offers his free hand to her to shake. "Bruce Wayne."
no subject
Knowing that didn't make it easier for Gansey to watch his two best friends, knowing that they should be dating. He'd made a mess of things, and he needed to figure out how to fix it.
Turning away from that particular problem, he noted Bruce and his culinary choice. Smiling despite his worries over the situation with Ronan, he moved toward Bruce. "Maybe you should have gotten something easier to eat."
no subject
The conversation with Ronan is still rolling in his mind. Maybe he'll bring it up now -- maybe later. It all depends on how things move forward.
"I'm guessing you already caught up with Evie? Diana?"
no subject
Another bite, he considered how to answer a question that should be simple. "I've caught up with Evie. She seems tired, but okay. Better than okay. I don't think I've ever seen her so happy." In either life, actually. "I've been hesitant to see Diana. We were planning to get coffee and discuss art, but we haven't had a chance yet."
no subject
Not that Bruce Wayne rarely is anyways.
"I imagine being free from an ice prison will do that to someone. That, and she seems to be rather comfortable around the man that helped her out." Bruce frowns ever so slightly. He's keeping his eye out on this 'Eggsy.' "In my experience? It's easier to be frank and upfront with Diana. She isn't the kind that enjoys being unaware of a situation."
no subject
"It would." Making a thoughtful sound, he considered what he knew about Eggsy. Not much but he'd liked what he's saw, so far. "He seems like a good person. He's trying to take care of her, making sure she doesn't do too much until she's recovered." Almost wistfully, he added, "They seem quite besotted with each other." Ronan and Adam were like that in a way.
Frowning, he took another bite of sprinkles to distract himself, wishing Noah was with them. He'd be able to help Gansey untangle the disaster his life had turned into. "I think you're right about Diana, but I didn't want to throw everything about that world at her at once. It didn't seem right to tell her about Evie, or the two of you. It didn't seem like my story to share."
