End of the Long Winter.

The people of Driftcrest have so much to celebrate. Their loved ones have been returned to them, and the Unseen are well and truly and genuinely gone. Not only that, but a Winter that had been going on for years is finally ended and it's well and truly Summer. Flowers are blooming, there's color in the town that wasn't there before. People are happy. They have their freedom back, and are taking full advantage of it.

Now that there's no longer a curfew, the party can go well into the night with music, dancing, food of all kinds all over the place both set on tables and in various food trucks.

With the hammocks hung up in the area, along with portable ones available to purchase, and twinkling string lights threaded through the trees, the setting is peaceful. A far cry from the stress of the last few weeks.

There's music, both live and recorded, and an outdoor dance floor has been set up under some beautiful hanging lanterns and twinkling string lights. Once the sun goes down, there'll be fires set up for people to sit by and make s'mores.

All in all, this promises to be a memorable experience.

Grab some food, buy a hammock, find somewhere to celebrate because this party will go on for a while.

"I am." Bruce crossed his arms then. "Most people know me as that Bruce Wayne from the network. Are you from Gansey's reality?"

If he was? That was good. Gansey needed more of his friends from what Bruce could tell.

"Relaxed. That's one thing most of us never really understand."

"Yeah. Gansey's my best friend." He was just...going to leave out the part where they were now ex-boyfriends. That was still a fresh wound and he wasn't sure how Gansey was doing.

"I've only been relaxed a few times in my life." He sounded like he was joking, but he wasn't. "The beach was good for that, though."

Best friend. Good. Bruce nodded to that -- as if the younger men needed his approval. He knew they didn't. Still, it was good to hear that Gansey had a support blanket from back home. It helped more than most of them imagined.

"You're involved with all that magic he does?"

Adam froze. He realized now that he had no idea how much Bruce knew about Gansey and his life. They hadn't exactly talked about things very much. He didn't know what he should admit to, what he should hide.

"Magic?"

Bruce turns his head to look at Adam properly. His eyebrows raise.

"Magic, son."

Magic is still something Bruce is trying to wrap his head around. It quite obviously exists even in his reality to some degree. It might not be something he can understand, but, it's something he's going to have to include in future plans. Arthur might know something of it -- maybe even Diana.

Definitely not Lois or Clark.

Thanks for the clarification, Bruce.

"That depends," Adam said carefully, "On what Gansey's told you." He didn't want to overstep or share things Gansey didn't want shared. But if Gansey had talked about magic, he must trust Bruce to some extent. Adam just wasn't sure how much.

"He has the power to influence people. Work on leylines." Bruce raises an eyebrow as if that should further clarify things. "Magic isn't so well known in my reality--if it exists at all."

Okay. Good. That gave him something to work with. He hadn't known how much Gansey would tell someone he trusted, but Adam's secret seemed to still be safe. "Yeah, I've been helping him with the ley lines for a few years. They're tricky things." But with Cabeswater's influence, they hadn't been that tricky once he'd learned to understand what it was telling him. "And he is good at getting people to do what he wants."

"So, you're close friends. I'm guessing that's why you're playing the round of twenty questions? Usually I'm the one that does the interrogation." Bruce raises his eyebrows in a friendly but playful gesture. Keeping up appearances. "I'm not used to being the one on the other side of it."

Adam smiled and shrugged. "Sorry, I'm just-- cautious." And for good reason. So much had happened over the years, so many people had tried to kill them, or wanted the power of the ley line for themselves. "Sometimes you have to be careful, especially when dealing with magic." Especially when it came to his friends.
