End of the Long Winter.

The people of Driftcrest have so much to celebrate. Their loved ones have been returned to them, and the Unseen are well and truly and genuinely gone. Not only that, but a Winter that had been going on for years is finally ended and it's well and truly Summer. Flowers are blooming, there's color in the town that wasn't there before. People are happy. They have their freedom back, and are taking full advantage of it.

Now that there's no longer a curfew, the party can go well into the night with music, dancing, food of all kinds all over the place both set on tables and in various food trucks.

With the hammocks hung up in the area, along with portable ones available to purchase, and twinkling string lights threaded through the trees, the setting is peaceful. A far cry from the stress of the last few weeks.

There's music, both live and recorded, and an outdoor dance floor has been set up under some beautiful hanging lanterns and twinkling string lights. Once the sun goes down, there'll be fires set up for people to sit by and make s'mores.

All in all, this promises to be a memorable experience.

Grab some food, buy a hammock, find somewhere to celebrate because this party will go on for a while.

He snickers a little. "Nah, not me," he replies with a bit of a shrug as he checks on a few other toasting marshmallows. "I was brought here from my world, just like a lot of others. Though in a sense, does that technically make us all aliens?"

"But you think some of the others on the network might be robots?" She asks, half serious and half just messing with him. Something she's pretty good at. Ask Peter. Still. She manages it with a straight face, though.

"Huh." He's not wrong. They're the outsiders, now. "I guess I can see why they don't like us. We ― those of us from my world, weren't happy when aliens invaded our home, either. Granted they wanted to destroy Earth, but. Yeah. I kinda get the hostility."

He grins a bit. Even in just their short time talking, he's finding that he likes MJ. "Hey, y'never know," he replies with a similar teasing tone. "It'd be rude to just assume it's only humans around here, wouldn't it?"

Turning over some of the marshmallows in the fire, he nods a little. "Yeah, it makes sense. Although for the most part, the people here haven't been too bad? Most have been pretty welcoming."

"True." It's not like she has anything against anyone not human. She doesn't. But when it comes to robots, particularly, she'll always air on the side of caution in part of what happened in Sokovia.

"They have." She agrees, nodding. "No one here has given me reason to actually be afraid for my well being." Taking another bite of her s'more, she continues. "Which is a nice change of pace coming from New York."

Settling herself on one of the hammocks edges, she lets herself swing with a small push off her feet. "So, is this like the weirdest or craziest thing that's happened to you?"

He snickers. "Oh yeah, you're from New York too? At least you missed all the Unseen stuff, those were definitely a good reason to be afraid for our safety."

Miles pokes the fire as he thinks, trying to think of how much he could say without giving too much away. "It's definitely up there. It might be tied with what happened back home, with some mad scientist trying to bring other universes into our world."
