WHO: Fulton and YOU
WHAT: arrivals, settling in, general mayhem
WHERE: all over!
WHEN: nowish and his first few days

WARNINGS: depends on how things go, I'll keep this updated if needed.

Fulton wanders the place when he arrives, confused as hell. This has to be a dream, right? Mad Max shit, the way everything looks, but he pinches the inside of his elbow and nothing changes. Weird.

A guy at a booth waves him over, and he looks over at him as he heads that way with no small amount of suspicion. Adults are pretty iffy at best, he learned that early, but the guy smiles and pushes something at him and rambles about a Guardian then gives him a couple cookies, like it makes any kind of sense. But he takes them anyway, stuffs the envelope in his pocket for later only to find something already in there, so he waves absently and stalks off, working through the first cookie while he looks the thing over. Kind of like a phone, only smaller, but he at least knows how phones work. The screen blares into life, colors and tinned music, and he almost walks into somebody, mumbling an apology as he looks up, a twist of regret in his expression before he keeps moving.

The Caldera's at least familiar, and he heads there once he finds where he's supposed to be living and digs out his rollerblades, stick, and puck from a box. None of the Ducks are here, but that's....okay. It will be, it'll have to be, so he skates around, tries to work on his skills there, shoots the puck around a few times.

He gets in a fight with one of the locals, over something stupid, walks away with a split lip and a black eye before somebody manages to intervene and pull him off. It's fine. It's all fine, everything is fine./cut>

"I did, yeah. Just a couple hours ago. So, we don't know each other except for names and appearance."

Still, what an awful thing to do, not show up when you tell someone you will.

"If my mother were here, she'd say something along the lines of...the whole point of meeting with someone new is to get to know them. Old friends are all well and good, but new ones can be just as valued. Or...something. She was a lot better at that than I."

A shrug and a half smile, maybe even just a bit sad. She's close with her mother and misses her dearly.

"Okay, so...I will always show up when I say I will. You can count on that. If I can't, I'll let you know. And if I don't show without any manner of contact, something's wrong."

How's that, Fulton.

She notices the bristling and decides against mentioning her mom and her mothers wisdom for now. It wasn't the time. Noted. Okay. She does smile a bit apologetically when he says she got a little weird about it, hunching a shoulder and ducking her head a bit.

"Sorry. Okay...so...this place is pretty colorless during the day, right? We're going to watch what happens when the sun goes down."

Just trust her, Fulton. It'll be fine.

"Have you ever seen the Aurora Borealis?"

"You tell me. In about an hour. That's when both suns have set," she replies with a small smirk. He might be unsure about her, but she likes him so far, and gives him another of her warm smiles.

"I stayed up late the first three nights I was here, watching the Aurora and waiting to see when it ended. Never really made it past three or four am." It just kept going, and she kept watching from where she'd zapped herself to the roof of her house. She's pretty sure actually climbing up there would alert her guardian to what she was doing, and she didn't want to wake him.

"It's not something I've ever seen before, except in photographs. Photos don't do it justice at all."

She notes the tease and smiles just a bit more. The tease is a good sign, one she'll hold onto because it makes her think she's making a hint of progress. Those small moments make him absolutely worth her time. It'd take a lot for her to change her mind about him.

"They do, but I'm inclined to believe them. Just this once." Turning to face him and carefully walking backwards as she does so, she tucks her hands in her back pockets and gives him a semi-flirty smirk. "Just...trust me. We just met a couple hours ago, and I probably haven't given you a reason to do so just yet. I just want this one thing. If you don't like it, we'll go do something else. Okay?"

He might think he’s doing a good job not staring but Tabatha is no dummy. She’s noticed and it’s definitely new to her. Stopping mid walk a moment, she lets her arms drop to her sides. Her pitch black devil dog lets out a faint trill of curiosity, sniffing the air and looking up at Tabatha again. A faint chittering noise and a sound that comes off as questioning and Tabatha looks down.

It’s not that she can understand Tank, but it’s not all that hard to infer what he wants. Not for the witch, anyway. So she crouches, balancing on her toes some.

“Foods nearby. I know. You already ate before we left, Tank. But…maybe we’ll see if someone has apples or something.” An excited snort from the three legged devil dog and Tabs looks up at Fulton.

“Okay. My plan is to get food and then there’s this rock formation just at the border. Far enough away from the busier part of Haven. I think it’s be good to take food there and watch the aurora.”
