Alligators in the sewers? Nope. Spiders.
Who: Gwen and Miles Ghost Spider and Arachnid.
What: Gwen is pissed off that the school bullies threw Hawks keys into the sewer, so Ghost Spider and Arachnid are going to find them.
Where: The Sewers near the school
When: 12:15 AM, 04/26
Warnings: Here there be monsters. And mentions of bullying and physical violence. Also some swearing.
With three extra people in the house, it wasn't too easy for Gwen and Miles to sneak out. They had to wait until they were sure everyone was asleep. Everyone. Even their unofficial house mom. And with Gwen crashing in Hawks room the night after every awful thing went down between him and the school bullies, sneaking out had been a tad harder than she expected.
But she managed to get herself out of his room, knock gently on Miles door as a five minute warning, and soon enough, Ghost Spider was dressed and waiting on the roof of their house. Once Miles shows up, Ghost Spider takes off. The houses and trees are close enough to each other that getting from rooftop to rooftop wasn't difficult. They were both really good at being quiet. And even some of the taller buildings in town made this trek easy, which Ghost Spider was grateful for.
Finally, she dropped off of the roof of the maintenance building near school and looks around. Sure enough, she spots the sewer grate, complete with the bloody handprints Hawk told her about and that just angers her, the eyes of her mask narrowing to show as much.
She's not saying what Hawk did was right, and she's not saying two wrongs make a right, but after seeing how badly Hawk had been affected by the actions of Derek and company, and his own, she was pretty mad.
Taking a flashlight out of the backpack she wore, she crouched and sent the light into the sewer, trying to see how far down it went. She could hear water running gently below, so it didn't sound like too far a drop.
Still, wet shoes made for bad sticking, so she wasn't exactly looking forward to going in there.
"It doesn't sound like whatever water's in there is too deep, so hopefully the keys didn't get washed too far away." Not that this would stop her from searching.

Straightening, Jess looks down the sewer, scanning the tunnel until she spies two forms nearby, and frowns. She had heard the fighting that led her to the opening where she had jumped down but she doesn't see the reason for the fight. Just the aftermath.
Moving closer, she sighs internally as she wonders if everyone has a costume but her. Not that it really matters as she looks them over, taking stock of the damage. "Can you move? We need to get out of here."
Just in case whatever had happened to them, had attacked them, decided to come back.

She turns to look at Jess with the eyes of her mask wide in alarm. This wasn't at all what she was expecting. She was just thinking this night couldn't get any weirder and then...
Well, now her 'dumbass teen getting caught doing dumbass things' senses are going off.
"It's gone," she says after a pause, still listening for the thing. "Gone gone. It just vanished." At this point, Gwen points to the end of the tunnel she last saw the thing in. There's no exits. No holes it could have barreled through. Just water and dead leaves and bits of garbage.

He groans a bit, though whether it's from his body protesting as he pushes himself to his feet or from them getting caught, it's hard to say.
"Y-Yeah, I think I'm okay," he replies, though he has to lean against the tunnel wall for a moment. "Whatever that thing was though, it was made like a tank."

Because it certainly sounded like she could if she needed to.
