Pour Judgement is officially open!

Sure, Jessica has been at the bar pretty much every day since receiving the key and has been letting people hang out if they had stopped by but now is the grand opening. Everyone who wants to come in will be allowed to do so since the staff is in place and they are full up on everything they need. Drinks are cheaper, the music is playing, and there is even a dance floor if anyone is so inclined.

For the most part, Jessica is milling about just keeping an eye on things. She will be behind the bar if the bartenders need help or she can be found at one of the corner booths nearby. Mostly, she just wants everyone to have a good time. Except for anyone looking to cause trouble. Those people won't have a good time at all.

"There might have been an insinuation," Which they seemed to excel at and they both knew it as she continued to smirk at him even though they were heading into heavy territory.

It didn't surprise her to hear that his father had something to do with whatever it was that had happened, simply based on the reactions and the emotions she had seen on him whenever the mysterious man was brought up. She did frown though when he mentioned his sister and how the truth about her had been hidden.

"As I said before, I'll listen to whatever you want to tell me. If you don't want to talk about it, then we don't have to," She meant it too despite the fact that it had been brought up once or twice since they had met and while they were getting to know each other. Then she was reaching into her back pocket, producing the flask once more to show and remind him that she did have a drink if he wanted to continue.

“Rude,” he returned at her comment about there being an insinuation. Yet he wasn’t serious, the hints of a smirk tugging at his lips.

A part of him cautioned that he’d just put her off and Diego didn’t want their relationship to change. He’d never admit it but he actually liked that she didn’t put up with his shit.

There were a few things he liked about Jessica. And that said, he realized that it’d be good to see if she would stick around or change after learning the truth about him. Better to lose the friendship early if it was going to change in the end.

“So my father isn’t my biological dad. My siblings and I were all born at noon on October first in nineteen eighty-nine. It was some kind of anomaly where forty-two births all happened to women who hadn’t even started the day pregnant. Dad went out and used his wealth to adopt as many of us as he could, ending up with seven. Seven kids who had unique skills but we all looked like regular babies.

Powers came later. So did mom. He created Grace to protect and take care of us when one of my sisters scared off all the previous nannies. She’s—“ Diego stopped himself, closing his eyes for a moment to swallow down the pain. “She was the perfect mom. I wouldn’t have my name if it wasn’t for her. Our father gave us numbers in order of importance.

I’m number two. Number one is Luther. Think Boy Scout like Captain America but built more like the Hulk. Three is Allison. She’s called the Rumor because she has the power of suggestion. Four is Klaus. He sees dead people and not just because he’s OD’ed a bunch of times.

Five, I heard he’s actually been here before. Twice. In fact, he’s the reason I thought that I ended up here. He’s got the ability to teleport and time travel. Didn’t master it and he’s a fifty-eight year old stuck in the body of a twelve year old the last that I saw him before waking up in Haven. Never got a name from mom so we call him Five.

Six is Ben who we lost on a mission when we were sixteen. Father of the year took a page straight out of X-Men, calling us The Umbrella Academy. Vanya is number seven. Our father raised us to believe that she was ordinary and had no powers. She wrote a book about it a few years ago. But our father lied. She’s a fucking nuke, and the reason the world ended.

Our father was too fucking coward to work with her. He had Allison rumor her then gave Vanya some kind of pill on a daily basis to keep her mellow… So there you have it… Background with how the world ended."

It just doesn't sound possible, what he is telling her, but she can see that he's being serious as he explains it all to her. The whole spontaneous birth thing sounds a bit strange because she can't even imagine what it must have been like for those women but then for the children to be sold? To some whacked out rich guy? That was bullshit and she could see now why he reacted the way he did when the topic of parents was brought up.

"You guys aren't aliens, are you?" That seems like an important question to ask as she stares at him somewhat incredulously. She wants to say it doesn't sound possible but she has come across immortal ninjas and shit in the last few months, so nothing seems that far out anymore.

"Okay, so it was your sister Vanya that nuked the world but you guys got out somehow," She blows it a little breath as she continued trying to wrap her mind around it all and find the right thing to say. Except that she's not very good at that sort of thing. "No wonder you're messed up over this shit. I mean, damn. I'm sorry."

No one had ever asked if they were aliens before. It wasn't a completely ridiculous question but Diego furrowed his brow together. "No. We've seen doctors and Allison even had a kid."

As for Jessica's run down of what he'd shared, Diego realized a couple of things that needed clearing up.

"Not exactly. She was on the verge of destroying it, we deflected her power and blew the moon to shit which came hurling down to Earth. That destroyed it. Five attempted to time travel with us linked together before impact. I ended up here, I don't know what happened to anyone else."

Translation: Diego had regularly checked the network and made rounds around Haven in search for any of his siblings that might have showed up.

Jessica thought it was a fairly legit question and she nodded when he reassured her that they weren't. It still sounded weird but she guessed that was the whole thing and why they had gotten adopted by a lunatic. "Okay, at least we know that."

She fell quiet again as he cleared up a couple of things, her brows lifting when he revealed they had deflected their sister's power and blew up the moon. Which, if she hadn't seen the whole New York incident, she would have had a hard time believing but she was starting to understand that there were a lot of fucked up things out there.

"That sucks, not knowing about your family." She told him honestly, nodding a bit. "But if you made it out, I'm sure they did too."

If she thought that was weird, wait until he got to the part of a talking chimp as their other caretaker. Diego decided to pace himself with the lunacy that was his life before Haven.

"You've got more faith than I do." His response was curt but it wasn't aimed toward her. He tilted his head to a side as he tried to explain. "We should've arrived together if we left together." Not that he really knew how time travel worked but there was logic to his reasoning.

"I should probably find people who knew Five and see what he might've told them."
