THE BATMAN.
The Bat has been active - more so than when Fluxscape had been apart of Wechester City. There's more of a need now. There is a threat. While the Bat may not be the hero for these people as he is in Gotham City? The need to solve the pressing questions of Driftcrest call for his attention. A few have already seen the towering figure of the Batman on the rooftops of the town and the skii lodge.
This is exactly where you can find him now.
[ LOCKED ] @ BARBARA GORDON / BATGIRL
The Bat - and therefore Bruce Wayne - had been forced to adjust his idea on the scope of reality some time ago. The Superman and the Kryptonians. Then, an Amazon Princess. A cyborg, metahumans. In a way it seemed like too much. Sometimes he wondered if he had really gone crazy. Or, maybe, the world was always crazy, and now he was simply seeing how truly crazy it was.
If anything? It made the adjustments for Fluxscape - this weird blending of realities - easier to process. Especially the potential idea of someone else from another Gotham. Hopefully it wouldn't be as strange as when he spoke to Gansey or Evie. Given he was fairly sure they knew the alter identity and simply kept mum about it.
The Batman sat on the top of a rooftop of the skii resort. His eyes slowly moved over the snow as they had thousands of times already. They were looking - hunting. The first generation of Waynes were hunters. This couldn't be any different.
BRUCE WAYNE.
For those looking for Bruce Wayne? Well, he can be in a place of your choosing. He has been a bit more lax on his duties at Wechester Enterprises. Of course, he'd be honest, if asked. He sees himself as the in between for Mr. Wechester and the people who flux in and out. Which means he needs to be out and about more in the locations to be able to give better reports. A way for him to be a bit of a face to build trust on both ends.
Being a CEO would be easier.
[ LOCKED ] @ MILES MORALES
Bruce has taken to the back of a local coffee shop. He has a workshirt on as opposed to his regular suit. It might look like a down day for him. If it wasn't for the fact he has one sleeve rolled up and is looking over the very particular interesting wound. There is a reason he is hiding in the back looking at this. It started to itch - usually that means its healing. Instead, he swears it is actually being iced over.
Sure, why the hell not.
Reality broke a long time ago.

But she was on the trail of what was happening here - and especially of the people who preyed on the fear that such situations created.
She wasn't as mighty as a Batman - but she was quicker. She flitted from shadow to shadow, making no din. Making her way to the statues. Her daytime observations had been fruitless, at least they would be so long as she couldn't properly examine them for clues.
Tonight would be a different story.
She hoped.

Reality seemed like it flew out the window a long time ago.
The Batman carefully watched the figure as she sprinted across to the statues. He shifted only slightly. He was there to help if he was needed, but, he was more curious about this other young hero that had arrived.
no subject
It might reveal something. Or not. But she wasn't leaving anything to chance around these parts.
no subject
He kept is eyes on the area that the other young hero was in it. It was impossible to see when these things would attack.
no subject
Nothing.
And she was finding herself very, very hopeful this wasn't magic. Because that left very little in the way of discernible traces, at least the sort that could be detected in her line of work.
Ugh, what she wouldn't give for Zatanna to be around right about now.

He moves then. Quickly - from one edge of the roof to the next. He drops down onto the ground from it, letting his cloak cover his body as he stands. The typical silhouette of the Batman. Still, he gives her space and room to work.
no subject
Which is when she does startle, reaching for a batarang.

As he glanced around trying to figure out what the feeling was, he spotted the businessman at one of the back tables. And with growing curiosity, he started heading over.
"...Mr. Wayne?"
no subject
"Miles," Bruce replied in his normal tone. "I wasn't aware you liked coffee."
no subject
"What happened? Are you okay?"
He couldn't tell much about the injury itself, other than there was something along the edges of it...was that ice?
He could only think of one way to get an injury like that right now...
no subject
It was definitely turning into something like ice.

There's something about the act that he isn't buying, and he isn't sure if those are his Spider-senses or just a gut feeling.
no subject
It's as good of an excuse as any. Maybe even realistic or believable. Until it comes into the fact that he should have gone to the medical professionals to look at the injury. Although, he imagines there would of been a panic if that had happened.
no subject
But not sure what else to say about it right now, he looks at the man's wound again. "Have you gotten that looked at yet?"

Starkbucks:
It's around mid-afternoon, so it's a little crowded. Seats aren't really easy to come by, but Evie's not taking up much space.
She's settled at the seat by the front window, people-watching and waiting for her name to be called for the double mocha latte and bagel with cream cheese. She spots Mr Wayne waiting in line and stands up, heading over to say...
"Would you object to me buying your coffee? There's a small part of me that says it's the thing to do." Or it's just possible Evie saw a friend and wants to be nce.

"Something tells me you'd insist even if I objected." He smiles at her. "It looks like you're holding up."
Re: beep beep feels train, sorry not!daughter
But this is Evie. She's not the type to just do one 'good deed' and then leave the rest of the day to whatever. Evie lives off of good deeds and kindness.
"I'm trying to. I'm missing my sister, and her wolf keeps looking for her. But I think we're adapting."

"She has a wolf?"
The Batman
Once again, she found herself wishing that Ty was around or that she had his power since it would make the whole thing easier. She could poof in and out before they knew what she was doing but, for now, she only had her own skills to rely on.
Plus she only needed a moment to touch them and that was all she was focused on, completely unaware that she might have an audience. One who would be able to watch her as she snuck up behind a guard, one of her hands glowing softly with a strange white light as she reached up to press that same hand against the side of the guard's neck. The man tensed for a second before relaxing again, staring straight ahead while Tandy frowned to herself.
no subject
The Batman jumped down from his perch to stand behind Tandy. There was still a few feet between them. He rose slowly, allowing his cloak to cover his body. It was all about presence and making him seem like he wasn't quite real.
no subject
She was ready to slip away as she turned around to leave, moving a couple of feet before she seemed to realize someone else was there. Or at least she sensed it enough to be startled as the glow in her hand came back, this time forming a glowing shard of light that looked like it could be a dagger.
Holding it up, her eyes narrowed as she looked at the strange figure standing in front of her. At first, just for a second, there was a flicker of emotion as she thought maybe it was someone else but then she realized this person was too tall and the cloak wasn't quite right. Her face went stony after that as her eyes narrowed and she held the dagger up a bit. "Who are you?"
no subject

She looked around as she started to walk again, wanting to get out of sight of the guard when he started to come out of the momentary daze he was in.
no subject
"Did you find anything useful?"
no subject
"It wasn't much but," She turned to look at him. "I saw him standing by the ice statues, right in front of two in particular. After a moment, the ice started to fracture and I saw a woman along with a young boy break out. He was happy to see them."
She pursed her lips for a second. "It was his family. That was his hope, that they would get free and he could be with them again."
